Dear Fellow special Olympics Basketball Coaches,

Thanks for your effort and involvement in the lives of so many deserving children and their families.  I am sure you find the involvement to be as personally rewarding as I do.

After speaking with Pam Yerg I am writing today to ask you to help me get the word out about an event I am helping put together for our community in conjunction with the imagination stage.

Would you be so kind as to review the announcement that follows?   First off, we would love to have you and yours join us at the event.

For Parents and Grandparents of Children with Special Needs
Merrill Lynch and Imagination Stage

Invite You To Join Us For

An Evening Of Empowerment

Dear Friends,

My daughter Joelle was born with Williams Syndrome.  As such, she has certain special needs with regards to services, healthcare, safety, and education.  But she is most of all an amazingly engaging young lady with vast potential.  My wife Darian and I feel that her participation in the performing arts at Imagination Stage plays a key role in her realizing that potential.

Come and learn how Imagination Stage can help your child to flourish.... Come imagine your child as a student at Imagination Stage... consider if participation might help him express himself better and become more confident...  or help her find ways to master elusive concepts.

And then consider an empowered financial future for your child. The future can be an almost unthinkable for parents; we do so much to advocate on behalf of our children that imagining them, without us, is terrifying. As a Certified Special Needs Advisor at Merrill Lynch, I know there are many "dos" and "don'ts" regarding our children's financial futures..... let me share some of those with you.

I have assembled a top flight panel to discuss the management of your child's affairs now and in the future.  Merrill Lynch will cover the financial planning issues.  Bryan Cave will address the legal issues.  Crawford Care will discuss the role of a caseworker as your child's future advocate.

Please, join us for an evening of empowerment.... Your child or grandchild will thank you!

Dean Packard
