Bocce (Italian lawn Bowling) trains on Saturdays beginning March 27 at The Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center in Wheaton from 10-11:30 It is important that athletes arrive promptly and ready to train. We welcome new athletes to our bocce program, but because of coaching staff limitations and the amount of individual assessment required for competition eligibility, athletes who wish to train in bocce with the intent of being considered for eligibility for competition at summer games must commit to bocce as their primary sport. Athletes who intend to train for state competition eligibility must commit to attending the required sanctioned events to include the Naval Academy Games in April and The SOMO Spring Games on May 2. Details on other competition opportunities and on training requirements will be provided by Coach Renny at the first practice. Questions... contact bocce@somdmontgomery.org
