Seniors Softball is open to athletes  age 18 and older. We offer training for participation on the Seniors Softball Team and in softball skill development and skills competition. Athletes in middle school and high school should join the PASA Middle School/High School softball training team ( see information in this issue of the Relay). Coached by the “Golden coaching staff” of The Goldens, Nancy Lloyd and Nate Crowe, the SOMO softball team will train and attend qualifying tournaments in anticipation of competing at the MD State Summer Games at Towson State University June 6-8th. The first practice will be held on Sunday, March 30 from 12 Noon-2:00 at Montgomery College Softball Fields. Coaches will announce the permanent practice site and it will be on the website.  All athletes interested in participating in the Softball program MUST complete an online registration form OR mail in a sign-up form AND must have a current medical on file. MINI TENNIS SEASON—Thank you MCTA!

Our Pilot Tennis Program in the Fall of 2007 was very successful, and our friends at MCTA have offered to coach a mini-season this spring. Roster space is limited. In order to provide a continuing skill-development  program,  spaces will be offered first to those athletes who are returning from the fall season. The tennis program has training levels based upon age and ability. The tennis program holds training at the Cabin John Tennis Courts near Montgomery Mall on Sundays from 4:30-6:00.

We will be offering a full tennis program in the fall with training towards competition at the Fall Sports Fest. In the tennis program as in the golf program, continuity in training and a commitment to training through  the skill levels is vital. Our roster will remain limited. Go online right away to sign up for this exciting new program! Email Pam Yerg with questions: jeyclan@verizon.net.

Great News:  Our new training home for SOMO Spring Sports is finished and waiting for us with open arms!

Our Lady Of Good Counsel High School has very generously offered to host our spring season sports training and competitions at the beautiful new facility in Olney. Special thanks goes to our Coach Sponge BOB for his dedication to our athletics programs and for his marvelous connections to GCHS!  Check the website for directions.

The Track and Field  season will begin Sunday March 30th at Good Counsel. Sunday practices will be from 1:00-2:30 and there will be mid-week practices announced by Team Manger Joyce Plaxen. Our track and field program offers training to athletes of all ages, and we welcome the juniors to come and learn to love the track and field experience.
