What to Do and When:

 

·          Go Online and sign up for the sport / sports that you wish to train in: somdmontgomery.org Or mail in your signup form!

·          All athletes MUST complete a sign-up form!

·          Bowling call-in sign-up is February 24th at 9:30 AM

·          Keep your medical up to date! Call Carol Halderman with questions or to renew yours!

·          Train hard and practice good  sportsmanship!

Our Purpose

       Special Olympics Maryland-Montgomery County( SOMO) provides year-round sports training and  competition in 20 Olympic-type sports for  Montgomery County children and adults with intellectual disabilities and closely   related developmental disabilities. Our training and competition opportunities are free to athletes. The program is made possible through the generous support of individuals, organization and foundations who believe in the Special Olympics mission. SOMO is an area chapter of Special Olympics Maryland , and of Special Olympics, Inc. which is a world-wide organization Our values: Community-Friendship-Integrity-Opportunity-Quality and Sportsmanship shine in our programs and in our  athletes and families.
