Athlete Leadership Program ( ALPS) Partnership with the Gallup Organization

Following five very successful years and graduating 5 very amazing classes, we are now planning a Level 2 ALPSU Program with the Gallup Organization. 8 S.O. athletes who have graduated from the ALSPU Gallup Program will be chosen to participate in the next level: Speech Writing and Community Presentations using PowerPoint. This program will re-united ALPS athletes with the Gallup Mentors in a more advanced study of speech writing and presentation skills. If you are interested in being considered, contact Pam Yerg.

The Management Team would like to make  plans for an “Athlete Town Hall Meeting”

A chance to share your thoughts and share in the SOMO future.

Details will be available on the website and flyers will be sent via email to athletes whose email addresses we have...we would like your input. Email Pam Yerg

Text Box: We almost lost her last year, but this year, sadly, SOMO Coach Malinda Quinlan has accepted a position in Michigan and will leave SOMO in August.
We will miss you, Coach Malinda!
Malinda has been coaching Basketball, Bocce and Soccer for SOMO for many years and worked for Special Olympics Inc.—The International Organization for Special Olympics where she was our “inside man” providing up to the minute information about Special Olympics all over the world!
Malinda is a dedicated Coach and friend to all of the athletes who have been lucky enough to have her as a coach, and has been directly responsible for the growth and success of our basketball and bocce programs. We will stay in touch with Malinda and hope that she will return for many of our events!
