Summer games in review—Towson State University June 6-7-8

The SOMO Delegation of 125 coaches and athletes had a blistering , red-hot summer games! Even with the temperatures near 100, our track and field team, swim team, bocce team and softball team competed like the champions that they are! Thank you to our  coaches and chaperones who were there for the athletes  under difficult conditions and who provide amazing dedication and support!

Mid Summer Games—The St. Mary’s Regatta  July 26-27

Beautiful St. Mary’s College is the site of the Mid-Summer Regatta. The SOMO Delegation consisted of our sailing team and our kayak team. Many of our sailors and  “paddlers” have moved to higher levels of competition and many personal bests were achieved this season. The training season was a difficult one, with thunderous weather and missing our Coach Jeanne. But the teams worked hard and had a very successful competition.

Our Kayaking Team: Ramon DePaula, John Dillencourt, Jerry Dillon, Andrew Eisenhaur, Jan Gonazlez, Lucas Houk, Aaron Hyndman, Michael Lautenberg, Darren Seifert, Carla Shipp, Ashley Thompson and Neil Young paddled their way to  personal bests . Our “paddlers” are coached by Alan Seifert, Lisa Soda and JoAnne Garlow, and they set the pace for other state programs to follow.
