The 2006 Inspiration (Wet )Walk was a wonderful success in spite of a bit more “wet than walk”. Thank you to all of the athletes and families who joined us and Special thanks to Joyce Plaxen and her amazing team for pulling it off so smoothly!

The SOMO Gift Envelope is a simple way for you and your family and friends to remember, honor or celebrate a special person or event any time of the year by simply completing the information on the pre-printed envelope, enclosing a check and off it goes! An acknowledgement will be sent to the recipient of the honor and you will receive acknowledgement as well. We will feature a special box in future editions of the Relay to announce the SOMO gifts and honorees. What better way to celebrate the wonderful people and events in our lives while supporting a program that celebrates our Special Olympic athletes! As we plan for Summer Games and train for the Summer Regatta we look back on a full and successful sport year in SOMO! Our junior programs are growing by leaps and bounds. TOPSoccer and the Junior Basketball League are leaping and bounding! We have junior components in all of our 17 sports and this year added two new sports to our program: snow shoe in the winter and table tennis exhibition training in the summer months. Our parents, coaches and volunteers are responsible for our growth and for our excellence! As we move into the summer months and plan our 2006 / 07 sport year, I want to give my most heartfelt thank you to the most loving and supportive management team and coaching staff THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN! Our programs grow, our friendships blossom, our lives are enriched because of the caring people dedicated to our athletes. Thank you. If you want to experience sheer joy and the thrill of true victory, get out to Towson State University June 9th for Opening Ceremonies, and June 10th and 11th for the Competitions in our Summer Games.
