Text Box: Our Purpose Special Olympics Montgomery County (SOMO) provides a year-round sports training program for Montgomery County children and adults with intellectual disabilities( mental retardation) and closely-related developmental disabilities. Our training and competition opportunities are free to athletes. The program is made possible through the generous support of individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations.
