Powerlifting

Training: Sundays. Starts July 18th, 2010.

Notes: Parents are encouraged to participate as "buddies". We will accept as many athletes into this new program as our coaching staff can support with "first come/first served". Sign up online so that Coach Jim can contact you with details. Athletes must be at least 16 years old to participate.
Acceptable attire for practices are shorts, sweats, t-shirts and tennis shoes. One piece lifting suites (singlets) will be provided for competitions.
SOMO has made an important step in our ability to coordinate resources for
practices within and across teams. If you can Volunteer during some or all
practices and events, choose Powerlifting at:

For the Role, choose what you would like to focus on (there is also overlap to
roles). Some examples for each of the roles available are:
Head Coach = divisions, trains, and coordinates competitions for the entire SOMO
team
Assistant Coach = guides the skill develop and game
play for a small group of Athletes via demonstration and suggestions for
improvement of skills
Admin = helps with sign-in/management, informal or formal officiating (recording
scores)
Chaperone = drives and/or is in charge of one or more Athletes at
practices/events
BE SURE TO REGISTER YOUR INTEREST IN TRAINING FOR THIS SPORT BY USING THE ONLINE ATHLETE REGISTRATION FORM or ONLINE VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM. All athletes/volunteers must register prior to attending practice. The forms will be available a few weeks prior to the sport's season.
