Special Olympics Maryland Montgomery County

Volunteer Registration Form

This form is used to register new volunteers. Please call our hotline (301 924-6965 box 6) and leave your return phone number if you want to register an athlete for first time. Registration of athletes for training sessions is done via a form in the newsletter.

Please check box to indicate Adult or Youth Volunteer:
Adult Volunteer (over 18 years old)
Youth (age 13-18*)   Note that we have limited volunteer opportunities for youth volunteers age 13-18 and positions are considered on a case by case basis. It is important that they attend the volunteer orientation with a parent and that a parent plans to "volunteer with them" as we assess their ability to serve in this capacity in our programs. We will typically place them in a juniors program such as TOPSoccer, Juniors basketball, or the track program.

In the interest of providing safe and quality programs for our athletes and for our volunteers, we require all volunteers to attend a volunteer orientation (offered prior to or early in each sport season) where the volunteer application will be completed with references as requested on the application. Information about volunteer orientations will be displayed once you click SEND EMAIL at bottom of page.

Tell us how we can contact you, any comments/questions and volunteer interests (bottom of this page).  Items in red must be completed . Click Send-email at bottom of page when complete.

We have many volunteer opportunities where you may work one on one with our athletes. There are also many administrative support positions. Please check off all activities that you MAY be interested in getting involved. The purpose of the orientation meeting is to give you more information about volunteer opportunities. You will not be limited to choices selected on this form but it will give us some idea of your areas of interest.

Please tell us a bit about your prior sports and or coaching experiences and what organizations you have been a volunteer:
